Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Idea content: The ideas you submit, your answers to follow-up questions, and the evaluations, specs, and MVP generations produced by our AI. This content is stored in our database and associated with your account.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve the product. We do not use third-party tracking scripts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Hone service
  • Generate AI-powered evaluations, specs, and MVPs for your ideas
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
  • Improve our product based on aggregate usage patterns

3. AI Processing

Your idea content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for evaluation and generation. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. We do not share your ideas with any other third party. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details on their data handling.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security. Only you can access your ideas. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

5. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access, edit, or delete your ideas at any time from the app
  • Delete your account by contacting support@honemyidea.com
  • Export your data (idea specs are downloadable as markdown)

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — authentication session tokens managed by Supabase. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
