Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Hone (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What Hone Does

Hone is an AI-powered tool that evaluates business ideas, generates product specs, and suggests MVP approaches. The evaluations are generated by AI and are intended as a starting point for your own research and judgment — not as professional business, legal, or financial advice.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Your Content

You own the ideas you submit and the content generated from them. We don't claim ownership of your ideas, evaluations, specs, or MVPs. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content through our AI pipeline in order to deliver the Service to you.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Hone offers a free tier (one idea) and a paid subscription ($10/month) for unlimited ideas. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from your profile — your access continues through the end of the billing period.

6. Refunds

If you're unsatisfied, contact us within 7 days of a charge and we'll issue a refund. After 7 days, charges are non-refundable.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't use Hone to:

• Submit content that's illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI evaluation system
• Abuse the API or overload the service with automated requests
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent the subscription

8. AI Limitations

AI-generated evaluations and specs may contain inaccuracies. Scores reflect the AI's assessment based on the information you provide — they are not guarantees of success or failure. Always validate AI output with your own research and domain expertise.

9. Limitation of Liability

Hone is provided “as is.” We are not liable for business decisions made based on AI evaluations, any loss of data beyond our reasonable control, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify you of material changes via email.
